Total Swimming Pools begins construction of 20 metre by 10 metre swimming pool in Ollerton as part of the district’s major investment programme in leisure facilities.
Chairman of Newark and Sherwood District Council’s Leisure and Environment Committee, Roger Jackson joined our Business Development Manager, Neil Richardson and TSP representative, Olympian Mark Foster for the project launch, as well as Active4Today Managing Director, Andy Carolan (pictured).
Set to open as soon as summer 2021, this purpose-built facility will also include a reception area, unisex changing village, poolside storage and associated plant room. Discussing the new facilities on offer, Councillor Roger Jackson said;
“Ollerton and Boughton is the largest population centre in Sherwood and the previous leisure facilities simply would not accommodate the needs of the growing number of inhabitants. Our residents deserve and need a top-class leisure facility.
“Swimming is an important skill to be taught from a young age and the new pool will ensure that the facility can be enjoyed for generations.”
